Tuesday-January 31, 2012-DOUBLE WORKOUT?...LOL!-A Short Blog

As I write this, I've been home a little bit over one hour. I've been up, of course, since 5:00 this morning. I got everything done and got an earlier than usual start on the chest and back workout. Part of this was because I was scheduled to take Mom out for her doctor's appointment and then shopping. I hit the workout hard, but slacked off a little on the run, since I know when I take my folks out, it is the equivalent of having another workout (walking, lifting, driving, etc.). After completing all workout elements, I managed still to finish an "easy" 3-mile run in 20:01 (6:40.3 mile pace). It felt really good.

We arrived well before her scheduled appointment time, but still ended up waiting an hour before she could be seen by her doctor. The up side is, however, that her blood work was VERY GOOD and she has lost some weight. She's slightly anemic and was told to supplement with an iron tablet. THAT'S IT! :) I'm proud of her because we have, overall, been eating very well and she has started a light exercise program. When the weather really breaks, I want to get her out there on the course walking.

After the doctor's appointment we headed to Walmart and I, true to form, was all over the store. I'm now at home, have just eaten my first meal of the day, but am more excited about getting a nap right now! LOL! :) Anyway, tomorrow I will be rested for the leg workout and 3-mile interval run! Until then, everyone enjoy the remainder of Tuesday night!

Thanks, everyone for the concern about my back. It is slightly sore today, but much better and nothing debilitating as far as the workouts!

Here is what I did today:

3 x 40 Push-ups-Weighted

3 x 40 Push-ups Inclined

3 x 40 Bent Over Rows

3 x 40 Good Mornings

3 x 40 Reverse Push-ups

5 x 90 Push-ups

5 x 25 Pull-ups
