Thursday-February 16, 2012-Today's workout--------SUCKED! LOL!

I went to bed a little after 9:00 last night. I had a great night's sleep, got up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day. I pushed through the morning routine and was really excited about getting in today's planche training and ab workout......Then the workout started! LOL! :) I had the hardest time getting into and maintaining a tuck planche today. I managed to get three, not so very good, tuck planches done. This carried over into the remainder of the workout. I got it done, but just did not seemed to get the exercises done to the best effect.  By the time I got ready for the run, I held no expectations. I just set a pace and got it done. I still managed to get it done in 20:09 (6:43 mile pace), which was only 3 seconds slower than yesterday's 3-mile run. So there was something positive about the workout.

I have to say most of my workouts are good, solid and challenging. There are not many highs or lows. Today was a low for sure. When I have such a workout, I generally will analyze it to ascertain what caused the problem with the workout. After I sat down and thought for a few minutes, the answer was very clear. I worked arms and shoulders yesterday. The workout included push-ups, dips, 250 total pull-ups. So my arms just had not recovered to the point that planche training could be very effective. The leg workout normally comes between the chest and back workout and the planche training and ab workout. So, for me to do what I did with the planche training today and to run back-to-back 3-mile runs is actually an accomplishment! See how I "reframed" this situation! LOL! :)

Anyway, immediately after the workout, I went grocery shopping for mom. I wanted some chocolate, so I bought some. I think I deserve a little treat! LOL! ;) I won't over indulge. I want to be ready for tomorrow's concluding workout of Cycle 27 and for the final weigh-in of the cycle.

It's time for a little nap and then for dinner, which will probably be my only meal for today. Everyone have a great Thursday!

1 x 32 seconds

1 x 23 seconds

1 x 15 seconds

Pseudo Push-ups:

3 x 40

Tiger Push-ups:

3 x 40


3 x 40 Half-Burpees

3 x 40 Swiss Ball Rollouts

3 x (2 x 40) Bicycle Crunch

3 x 40 Frog Sit-ups

Cardio:

3 Mile run (20:09)
