Sunday-June 20, 2010-A True Double Workout!

First, I begin this blog by wishing all of my BodySpace and Natural Muscle Mass friends and members a very Happy Fathers’ Day and I hope that it was a very enjoyable day for you and yours!

I wrote the blog on Friday about missed workouts! Someone left a comment (on BodySpace) and for whatever reason, I cannot read it! LOL @ BodySpace! :( :) ! Well after missing Friday’s workout, I had the plan to do the cardio on Sunday and the lifting portion of that workout on Saturday night! It didn’t happen. I had one of my nieces and a nephew over last night! She wanted "something to do" and he needed help with his mp3 player and wanted some Michael Jackson music put on it! There went my night! But it was well worth it. They are great kids and grateful for whatever is done for them.

As far as the workout what was my SOLUTION? A double on Today! I must have been crazy! But you all know I hate missing workouts (I just don’t beat myself up about it). I did both Friday’s and today’s workouts and the cardio in 92 degree heat! I even integrated the extra 240 push-ups! What a great workout! I took a few pics to mark the occasion! LOL! :D I look like a caveman! I need a shave! :)

This is the beginning of the third week of my 18th six-week training cycle and it always begins with planche push-up training. I decided to go ahead and push today to see what I could really do. I scheduled myself for 45 second tuck planches this week, but have been feeling pretty strong. I decided that I would try the 48 second tuck planches! I did them! NO PROBLEM! This is highly encouraging for me!

The remainder of the workout was the back workout and that went very well. The pull-ups and the chin-ups also went very well! I walked 2-miles and I ran 2-miles. Considering the heat, I was very surprised that was able to run the LONG COURSE (on the asphalt road with hills and curves) in 17:32!

I am happy to get both workouts done! I feel that this was a VERY beneficial workout, physically and psychologically! It was a great motivator!

Tiger Push-ups: 3 x 40*

*3 minutes rest after each circuit.

3 x 30 Dead Lifts

3 x 30 Push-up Rows 3 x 30 Reverse Push-ups

5 x 15 Pull-ups

4 x 60 Push-ups

2 x 15 Chin-ups

Cardio & Plyometrics:

1 x 2.0 min Jump Rope 1 x 50 Jumping Jacks

1 x 50 Windmills

4 x 20 Ankle Hop

4 x 20 Standing Jump 4 x 20 Lateral Step-up

4 x 20 Jump To Box 4 x 20 Jump From Box

Cardio:

2 Mile Walk

2 Mile Run

STRETCH
