Yesterday ended what turned out to be a not so good week. Toward Wednesday, I really got bummed out about what I perceived to be a definite slowdown in social interaction on my BodySpace page as well as just a bunch of uncertainty as to if and when more positive changes will be made to the website (My naturalmusclemass.net friends, I am more than happy with my experience here. I guess I have to work on building the page.). Furthermore, I really did a lot of running around for the parents last week which made everything feel really cluttered. This occurred in spite of the early rising. I managed to get in the workouts, but I really let the diet slip over the past few days. Last night I KNOW that I just gave in to how I was feeling and indulged in too many cookies and sweets. I learned last night that one of my first cousins died of a massive heart attack. He had been hospitalized a couple of weeks ago after the first heart attack and had some surgery. He was scheduled to go back for more surgery this week. He was 37 years old. Unfortunately, he was another who paid little attention to his physical well-being, particularly his diet. I weighed today and found that I was up 2.8 pounds. I knew it because I could look at myself and tell that I had gained a pound or so. I am not going to beat myself up about it. Today I will enjoy what I want to eat and then on tomorrow, put the diet back on track!
The planche training is still a bit of a struggle. With all that is going on, yet again, with the family, concentration was difficult and I fell out of a number of tuck planches before I finally stilled myself and completed two good ones, 32 and 30 seconds, respectfully. Finally, I fell out of the last one at 12 seconds. Thursday's goal is to get in three really good tuck planches.
The remainder of the workout went slowly but good. It was really wet outside and the run turned out to be not too bad in spite of the conditions. I managed to finish 1-mile in 6:20 while slipping, sliding, and dodging puddles! LOL!
Enjoy the Super Bowl. Don't eat too much! LOL! I'm not too excited about the game being that Pittsburgh is not there. If forced to choose, I would have to root for the Giants! I'm going to eat some good food and enjoy the commercials!

Comment by Cesco on February 5, 2012 at 5:48pm Hi Andrew,
I'd like to start by offering you and your family my deepest sympathies for the loss of your cousin. It really makes you realize how fragile and valuable our health is. I'm 37 years old myself.
