Friday-February 17, 2012-Cycle 27 is Completed! Now on to the Intercycle

Cycle 27 is HISTORY! I had a good solid bodyweight workout, using the 20 pound weighted vest to conclude the workout. Before going outside to complete the workout, I hit 450 (5 x 90) push-ups and my stretching routine. After that the remainder of the workout was completed outside. It turned out to be a fairly enjoyable workout since the soon came out during the workout.  I hit the plyometrics, and all of my bar work (hanging leg raises, pull-ups, chin-ups, windshield wipers) and the weighted bodyweight squats and calf raisers.  After the success of this particular workout, I am contemplating raising the reps in future cycles.

It rained last night so my running course was not in ideal shape. I managed to finish my final 2-mile run of the Cycle in 12:50 (6:25 mile pace). I will take it. In 3 weeks when Cycle 28 begins, I hope to begin cutting down the times and going for some personal bests as I progress through the cycles.

I took a few pictures to mark the end of the cycle. Overall, I am happy with the progress made over the course of the cycle. I am not yet down to 145, which is my goal weight. However, I began the Cycle at 150.6 pounds and have managed to finish it at 148.4, which is a loss of 2.2 pounds for the cycle.

Now it is on to what I've dubbed my "Intercycle." This is three weeks of rest and "active" recovery. I will be posting the three week program in a blog on tomorrow night. During this period I will pay a great deal of attention to the diet. Next week I complete 2-mile walks and really REALLY :) watch the diet! LOL!  Hopefully, I can take a bit more fat off and make progress toward my 145 pound goal.  After the Intercycle Cycle 28 begins. Right now I'm simply contemplating a repeat of Cycle 27 with very minor changes. We'll see.

I am also going to do some revisions to this page so that people will find what I believe the helpful, videos and other information that has been buried by this horrible redesign. Additionally, I will be working on posting some these same videos on my Naturalmusclemass.net page and will be posting a status update and blog when it is updated. They are about to do some revisions this weekend and the page will be renamed, so I won't do anything until Sunday.
